Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Elliott Baptist Church for Mrs. Deloys “Dee” Leonard Fields, 56, of Duck Hill, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at her residence. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Rev. Michael Payton and Dr. Cecil Fayard officiated. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Elliott Baptist Church.
Dee was born on July 17, 1968, and raised in French Camp by her parents, the late Selma Christine Dees Leonard and the late James G. Leonard Jr. She was a member of Elliott Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she worked as a supervisor for the United States Postal Service in the Winona office. In her spare time, she enjoyed hunting, fishing and canning a variety of fruits and vegetables.
In addition to her parents, one brother, Tommy Wayne Leonard, preceded Dee in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Lee Fields of Duck Hill; two brothers, Ralph Leonard (Minna) of French Camp and Travis Leonard (Angie) of Columbus and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Robby Roberts, Craig Morgan, John Watson, Robert Clifton, Richard Hood and Vince Havens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Elliott Baptist Church, 566 Nat G. Trout Rd., Grenada, MS.
