The Christian Women’s Job Corps began hosting free Christian Parenting Classes on July 9.
Allyson Worsham Director of Her Choices PRC will host four weekly small group studies based on Psalm 127:4. The video based session will cover 4 topics, spiritual and physical prep, diet and lactation tips, the power of family, and family support.
“The four engaging video sessions feature interviews with parenting experts, stories from parents who share their own experiences and dramatic clips from FamilyLife’s feature film ‘Like Arrows,’” Worsham said. “The four free classes include a viewing of the “Like Arrows” DVD and a copy of “The Art of Parenting” book.”
Remaining classes will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. July 16, 23 and 30 at CWJC Hope for Life Building located at 517 Line St.
Parents, grandparents, expectant parents, adoption parents, legal guardians, mentors and foster parents are welcome to join the class.
The participant workbook includes questions for group discussion, activities for parental reflection/growth and additional helpful parenting articles. Plus, an interactive activity runs throughout the four sessions and results in a parenting plan unique to each family. Each workbook includes two copies of the arrow chart, a place for parents to record their family and child’s unique growth plan.
All parent participants will receive a free gift after each session and a Christian Parenting Certificate upon completion of the four class series.
