Grenada Food Pantry organizers said that all available volunteers are needed for the Thanksgiving distribution that will be held this Saturday morning.
“We can use as many volunteers as possible from 9 a.m. until noon for bagging of groceries on, Thursday, Nov. 17,” Kim McRee, Grenada Food Pantry Board member, said. “Volunteers are also needed for Distribution Day from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19.”
The Grenada Food Pantry is located next to the Grenada Police Department and City Auditorium. Handicap recipients are asked to drive through on Green Street. For those able to walk, please enter through the entrance on Main Street.
If you missed the recertification day in early March and do not have the 2021-22 WHITE ID card, you must complete a new application. Bring proof of income for the household, proof of residency in Grenada County, a photo ID and names and ages for any others you are claiming.
“We are so thankful for all of you, our friends, who continue to support us and make it possible for us to assist those who need our help in Grenada County,” McRee concluded.
