The Grenada Food Pantry’s monthly Distribution Day is scheduled for this Saturday, July 22, welcoming any and all volunteers.
Kim McRee, one of the directors at the Food Pantry, said volunteers are needed for Thursday, July 20, for bagging day and for Saturday’s distribution.
According to McRee, Saturday’s Distribution Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. She added that volunteer opportunities to help are Thursday (July 24) from 9 a.m. until noon for bagging groceries and again on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m.
The Grenada Food Pantry is located next to the Grenada Police Department and City Auditorium. Handicapped recipients are asked to drive through Green Street. For all others, please enter through the entrance on Main Street.
If you do not have the 2022-23 ID card, you must re-register. Bring proof of income for household, proof of residency in Grenada County, a photo ID and names and ages for any others you are claiming.
