There’s still time to get out to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the Annual MLK Day Parade that is set to begin at 3 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 17.
The parade begins on Main Street in the City of Grenada before moving to Line Street and ending at Taylor Hall located on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
King played a pivotal role in race relations for nearly a decade. He helped secure the end of legal segregation of African-Americans citizens, created the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and served as a source of inspiration for black individuals across the globe.
