Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Gore Springs for 19-year-old Collin Albert Avery.
Collin was born Dec. 15, 2000, to Pam Starks and Allen Avery. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Greater Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He received his formal education in the Grenada School District.
Collin was fun spirited and loved his family, friends and his dog, Blu. He was fearless with a bold personality, which earned the nickname of “Wild Man” from his uncle, Garrick.
His grandmother, Virginia Hardwick Avery, preceded Collin in death.
Survivors include, his mother, Pam Starks; his father, Allen Avery; brothers, Alan Avery and Cody Avery; niece, Arumni Purnell; grandparents, Emma (Spencer) Momon and Eddie (Nae Nae) Johnson; his god grandparents, Eddie Dean (Joyce) Reynolds and his dog, Blu.
Hughes and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
