Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, in Vaiden Cemetery in Vaiden for Christine Self, 93, of Vaiden, who died on Monday, Oct. 10, in Vaiden. The Rev. Philip McRae will officiate.
Ms. Self was born on Sept. 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Whitlock Caldwell and Bessie Welch Caldwell Self. She was a member of Shongalo Presbyterian Church in Vaiden.
In addition to her parents, her sisters, Earline Shaw and Marine Buford, and brothers, Larry Self, Ralph Self and Bud Caldwell, preceded Ms. Self in death.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
