Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at Mantee Baptist Church for Charles Ruble Duncan, 98, of Grenada, who died on Friday, Aug. 8, in Grenada. There was no graveside service. Bro. Zack Sanford and Bro. Reeves Garrett officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Ruble was born Charles Ruble Duncan on Oct. 24, 1926, in Houston, the son of the late Ruben G. and the late Vannie Griffin Duncan. He was a manager at Houston Ceramics Tile and a faithful member of Mantee Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Glenda Johnson Duncan, and his sibling, Arnold Duncan, preceded Ruble in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Donna (Mickey) Boyette of Grenada; his grandchildren, Wes (Bridget) Baird, Holly (Pablo) Boyette Martinez and Katie (Jeran) Boyette Guilambo; his great grandchildren, Ella Grace Baird, Allie Baird, Charlie Martinez, Ada Martinez, Ollie Guilambo, Gia Guilambo and Jonah Guilambo, and his special friend, Dovie Ezell.
