Memorial service plans are private for Mr. Charles Henry “Bubba” Martin, 66, of Coffeeville, who died on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, in Montgomery County. In accordance with Bubba’s wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be spread in several places that held a special place in his heart.
Bubba was on born April 20, 1959, in Water Valley, the son of the late JT “Jake” and Sarah Beth “Sadie” Moore Martin. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed a career spanning more than 20 years as a farm manager at Dunavant Farms near Coffeeville. Most recently, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Mason.
In addition to his father, his stepson, Grayson Fly, preceded Bubba in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Elisha Martin; mother, Sadie Martin; stepdaughter, Danielle Smart; brothers, Paul Martin (Tanya) and Scott Martin (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Carolina Crocker, Tatum Smart and Maximus Fly; daughter-in-law, Janie King, and his best friend, David “Red” Black.
