Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Brenda McCammon Taylor, 69, of Grenada, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Batesville. Burial followed in Wayside Cemetery. Dr. Kevin Jackson officiated.
Brenda was born on Sept. 30, 1953, in Charleston, the daughter of William Louis Edward and Carrie Louise Richardson McCammon. She spent the last 30 years working as a cosmetologist and loved the relationships she developed with her clients through the years. She attended Grace Baptist Church. Brenda will long be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who treasured time spent with her family.
Her parents preceded Brenda in death.
Survivors include, her husband of 50 years, Jerry Taylor; daughter, Carrie Smith of Grenada; son, Tracy Taylor (Bonnie) of Mobile, Ala.; two brothers, Louis McCammon of Charleston and Barry McCammon of Eidson, Tenn., and three grandchildren, Hallie Smith, Callie Smith and Gavin Taylor.
