The Grenada Police Department is investigating the death of a local man discovered dead inside a vehicle Sunday morning.
According to GPD Chief George Douglas, the man was discovered inside an SUV at the intersection Air Industrial Road and Riverdale Road. Grenada County Coroner Douglas Yates identified the man as Joseph Paige, 31, of Montgomery County. Yates pronounced Paige dead at the scene.
Douglas said Paige had been shot.
The shooting death is under investigation and according to Douglas, an autopsy has been ordered to be performed by the Mississippi State Crime Lab.
