Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Overstreet Thompson, 86, of Winona, who died on Sunday, Dec. 15, at her residence. Burial followed in Winona Garden of Memory. The Rev. Terry Corley officiated. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday, Dec. 20, at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
Mrs. Thompson was born on June 7, 1938, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late William and the late Willie Henderson Overstreet. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, William Earl “Bill” Thompson; one daughter, Cynthia Diane Thompson; two brothers, R.C. Overstreet and John Overstreet; three sisters, Dovie Crowder, Louise Rogers and Evelyn Laney, and a great-great granddaughter, Mercy Burrell, preceded Mrs. Thompson in death.
Survivors include, one daughter, Tracie Mullins of Winona; two sisters, Lillian Braswell of Cypress, Texas, and Linda Beckwith of Winona; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
