A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date for Betty Nell Tharp Bell, 86, of Carriere, who died on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025.
A native of Sunflower, Betty was retired from Hugh White State Park in Grenada. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her parents, Oakley Tharp and Kathleen Hodges Tharp; brothers, Louis Tharp and Walter Tharp; sister, Patsy Carlisle; one daughter, Rhonda Farmer, and one great grandson, Armando Reyes, preceded Betty in death.
Survivors include, two daughters, Donna “Lisa” A. (Glenn Ladner) Garcia and Joy (Gene) Stroup; grandchildren, Stan (Felicia) Vanzant, Sandra (Danny) Wagner, Karen Jenkins, Timothy Dowdle and Josh (Tonya) Stroup; her great grandchildren, Miguel (Haley) Reyes, Misty (Cole) Singleton, Phillip (Cassandra) Farve and Kaitlyn Farve; several great-great grandchildren and her brothers, Danny Tharp and Oakley Tharp.
