Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Benny Fulton Lee Sr., 84, of Grenada, who died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 15, with his family at his side. Burial followed in Grenada Memorial Garden. Pastor James McElroy officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.
Benny was born on Nov. 27, 1941, in Noxubee County, the son of the late Robert Fulton Lee and the late Ira Ray Lee. He worked as a machinist at Grenada Stamping for more than 45 years before retiring, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. An avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed watching college and professional football.
A man truly devoted to his family, Benny never missed a ballgame or event involving his grandchildren or great grandchildren. He was a member of Grenada Church of God and honorably served his country in the Mississippi Army National Guard.
Benny’s steady presence and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, his siblings, Opal Liddell, James Ray Lee and Frances Rose, preceded Benny in death.
Survivors include, his wife of 58 years, Edna Lee; daughter, Sandy Inman (Dave); son, Benny Lee Jr.; five grandchildren, Lorna Harbin, Amber McBride (Jay), Haley Young (Joe), Lacey Harris (Justin) and Cody Lee (Taylor); eight great grandchildren, Ella Harris, Heidi Hudson, Martha Kate Harris, Maddox Carpenter, Jaylen McBride, Beau McBride, Ezra Harris and Benton “Bennie” Lee; two sisters, Alice Faye Reeves and Dorothy Pickle, and two brothers, Lamar Lee and Edward Lee.
Pallbearers were Maddox Carpenter, Brian Durham, Jerry Durham, Cody Lee, Anthony Pickle, Barry Pickle, Jeff Pickle and Vernon White.
