Absentee voting for the Democratic and Republican Primary Congressional Election is officially underway.
According to Grenada County Circuit Clerk Michele Redditt-Garcia, the Circuit Clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday to cast your vote.
There will be two Saturday’s available to turn in your vote. May 28 and June 4, the circuit clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. until noon for absentee voting only.
For those that are on schedule to work the polls, there will be poll manager training held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 26. These training classes will be held in the Main Court Room of the Grenada County Courthouse. Resolution Board Training will be held Thursday May 26, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., also in the courthouse courtroom.
Election Day is Tuesday, June 7, and if needed, the runoff election will be held June 28.
