Mississippi fuel prices averaging $2.69 statewide

Average gasoline prices in Mississippi have fallen 1.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.69/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,014 stations in Mississippi. Prices in Mississippi are 17.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 20.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Volunteers sought for Grenada Lake annual Fish Habitat Day slated Dec. 2

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District announces that Grenada Lake is seeking volunteers for its annual Fish Habitat Day on Dec. 2.

The event begins at 8 a.m. and lasts until 3 p.m. Volunteers will meet at the Torrance Landing where cedar trees and wooden stakes will be used to construct fish beds.
