GHS hosts Cancer Classic

The 4th annual Ken Ross/Diane Washington Cancer Classic takes place Saturday, Nov. 6, with a full slate of basketball games. Teams from Winona, J.Z. George, Kosciusko, East Webster, Amanda Elzy, Coffeeville, Hollandale Simmons, West Tallahatchie, Senatobia, Aberdeen and Grenada will compete at the Grenada High School gymnasium.

Raiderettes split tourney games; open regular season this week

The Kirk Academy varsity and junior varsity girls basketball teams opened the 2021-22 season last week with a pair of games played at the Madison Madness Tournament hosted by Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Coach Robin Chastain’s crew split the games as they pointed to the start of the regular season this week.
