Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Grenada Church of God for Sherry Hood Card, 71, of Grenada, who gained her wings on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Burial followed in Bethel Cemetery in Carroll County. Bro. James McElroy officiated.
Sherry was born on Aug. 25, 1953, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Robert Hood and the late Juanita Corder Hood. She was employed at Pennaco Hosiery for many years and then Modine from which she retired.
Survivors include, her son, Donny Card of Grenada; granddaughter, Kennedy Card of Grenada; brother, Carl Hood (Monica) of Grenada; nephew, Kenny Hood (Beth) of Grenada and niece, Jennifer Wortham (Lee Jay) of Grenada.
Pallbearers included Kenny Hood, Tucker Hood, Lee Jay Wortham, John Wortham, Jeremy Hood, Michael Hood and Anthony Sides.
