Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at Hebron Baptist Church for Mrs. Sandra Lee West Williamson, 75, of Grenada, who died on Saturday, Feb. 22, in Grenada. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Ken Salley will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the church.
Sandra was born on July 28, 1949, in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Mim “Doby” and the late Mary Lee Ready West. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Hebron Baptist Church where she served in various roles including, church secretary. She was also a gifted musician and played the piano at Hebron and several other churches in the community through the years.
Sandra was an excellent cook and loved to share delicious meals that she prepared with those she loved. She also found great pleasure in being a hospice volunteer and providing support to the staff members at Legacy Hospice and Adoration Hospice. Above all, Sandra was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, her husband, James Williamson, and her son, Brian Williamson, preceded Sandra in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Christie Lee Edmonds (Robert) of Southaven; sister, Lana West Jordan of Waynesboro; brothers, Eddie West (Nancy) and Bob West (Kathy), all of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Claire Edmonds and Tillie Edmonds, and her brother-in-law, Dwight Austin Jr. of Grenada.
