Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021, in the Winona Garden of Memory for Mrs. Sammie Mitchell McClure, 90, of Winona, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Winona.
Mrs. McClure was born on Jan. 30, 1931, in Stewart, the daughter of Joseph Lester and Nannie Ruth Pearson Woods. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona.
Her parents; her husbands, Billy Donald McClure and James Newton Mitchell Jr.; her daughter, Patti Mitchell Finley; sisters, Bernice Richardson, Janis Mosley and Evon Austin, and brothers, Lester Woods Jr., Trenton Woods and Cecil Woods, preceded Mrs. McClure in death.
Survivors include, her son, Bruce Steven Mitchell of Winona; son-in-law, Bill Finley of Winona; sisters, Christine Box of Tomnolen, Joy Ellis of Winona and Ruth Blaylock of Winona; two grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
