Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at New Hope Methodist Church in Winona for Mr. Richie Andrew Scruggs, 65, of Winona, who died on Monday, Feb. 24, at his residence. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. The Rev. Bob Cannizzaro officiated. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday, Feb. 27, at New Hope Methodist Church.
Richie was born on Nov. 7, 1959, in Winona. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church.
His mother, Cora Lee Putman Hester; his father, Robert Earl “Bobby” Scruggs Jr., and the mother of his daughters, Beverly Dawn Gleason, preceded Richie in death.
Survivors include, his daughters, Kayley Ryan Scruggs of Decatur, Ga., and Sydney Danielle Scruggs of Brandon; sister, Kim Scruggs Ritchie of Winona and several nieces and nephews.
