Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Quay L. Peacock, 60, of Coffeeville, who died on Tuesday, May 6, in Oxford. Burial followed in Ford’s Well Church of Christ Cemetery in Yalobusha County. The Rev. T. Hill officiated.
Quay was born on Aug. 13, 1964, in Yalobusha County, the son of the late Deral and Geneva Carpenter Peacock. He spent most of his working life as a truck driver and later worked in the dirt and excavation business. He was a member of the Coffeeville Church of Christ. An avid outdoorsman, Quay enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as working on his tractor around his place.
In addition to his father, his sisters, Jackie Peacock, Dana Peacock and Carla Fly, preceded Quay in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Shelia Peacock; mother, Geneva Peacock Harper of Coffeeville; daughter, Kimberly Davis (Steven) of Coffeeville, and his grandsons, Kameron Davis and Stetson Davis.
Pallbearers were Roy Anderson, Glen Burney, Ricky Fly, Drew Kirk, Sam Melton and Ronnie Stark.
