Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Carroll County for Mrs. Patsy Ann Corley, 87, of North Carrollton, who died on Saturday, June 29, at her residence. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Rev. Reidis Nash and the Rev. Joseph Sansing officiated. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 1, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Corley was born on Jan. 23, 1937, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Tillman and the late Mattie Campbell. She was a member of the Winona Baptist Temple.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Joseph Andy Corley Jr.; one son, Joseph Franklin Corley, one sister and one brother, preceded Mrs. Corley in death.
Survivors include, her daughters, Jo Ann Hill of Carrollton and Betty Lee Godi of Denton, Texas; three sons, Donnie Corley of North Carrollton, Charles “Blue” Corley of Greenwood and Mike Corley of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Jo Ann Hill, 3445 CR 121, Carrollton, MS 38917.
