Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Huntsville Church of Christ for Linnie Mae Beardain, 89, who died peacefully on Wednesday, July 10. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Nathan Wright and Mr. Darrell Surrette officiated. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, July 12, and from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday, July 13, at the church.
Linnie was born on Dec. 20, 1934, in Coffeeville, the daughter of the late Griffin Lake Sr. and the late Melba Hodges. She was a member of the Huntsville Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Dan Beardain, two sisters and four brothers, preceded Linnie in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Ann Calvert of Southaven and Virginia Murphree of Enid; one brother, George Hodges of Southaven; sons, Roger Beardain of Winona and David Beardain of Eupora; daughter, Cynthia Forbes of Eupora; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
