Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Winona for Mr. Larry Lane Emmons, 75, of Winona, who died peacefully on Monday, May 8, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. Burial followed in the Emmons Family Cemetery near Carrollton. The Rev. Jay Anderson and the Rev. Gene Richardson officiated. Visitation was held from noon until service time on Thursday, May 11, at the church.
Larry was born in Carroll County, the son of the late Uriah Ray Emmons and the late Myrtle Beatrice Avant Emmons.
In addition to his parents, his brothers, Thomas Ray Emmons and Billy Frank “Toot” Emmons, preceded Larry in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Kay Hartness Emmons; daughters, Tracie Renae Emmons and Lanee Rye Emmons; grandsons, Cody Rye Goss and Clayton Patrick Stevens and his precious sister, Nance Wurthman (Patrick), of Collierville, Tenn.
