Memorial service plans are private for Mrs. Grace Wertz Haddox, 82, of Grenada, who died on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Grenada.
Grace was born on Oct. 3, 1941, in Harrisburg, Pa., daughter of the late Daniel and the late Mary Wertz. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Grenada. She enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed the time she was able to spend on the water with her husband on their sailboat.
Grace attended Holmes Community College and earned a degree in nursing. She later took her medical knowledge to a new front and worked in sales for Whitehall Pharmaceuticals. Ultimately, she worked the last several years of her career as a real estate agent and enjoyed the many friends she made while selling property. Of all the titles she held in life, “grandmother” was the one she cherished the most. She will long be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Maxwell Haddox; one great grandson, Brady Bourdon; her sisters, Carol Drenchko and Sylvia Wertz, and her brother, William Wertz, preceded Grace in death.
Survivors include, four daughters, Linda Chodzko (David) of Florida, Melody Young (Rish) of Grenada, Terri Haddox of Grenada and Kimberly McGowin of Saucier; seven grandchildren, Christopher McCarter, Ashton Bourdon, James Woods, Anna Young, Corey Allen, Madison Young and Luke Woods and five great grandchildren, Kinsley Bourdon, Carter Bourdon, Ava Bourdon, Kylie Woods and Avery Woods.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Grenada.
