Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Goldia Prisscilla Redwine Stanford, 62, of Coffeeville, who died on Thursday, Aug. 29, at her residence. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery near Coffeeville. Pastor Adelbert Adcock officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, Aug. 31, at McKibben and Guinn.
Prisscilla was born on Oct. 18, 1961, in Water Valley, the daughter of the late Lewis Jr. and Eva Mae Woods Redwine. She possessed a strong work ethic and often reminisced of selling sno-cones for five cents, while working at Shaw’s in Coffeeville. Prisscilla worked for many years at Peacock’s in Coffeeville and also worked as an insurance agent. She found her greatest joy in being a dedicated homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In her spare time, Prisscilla enjoyed working with her plants and flowers as well as playing games on her phone. She also took great pleasure “shelling” with her sister, Norma, as they searched for treasured seashells on family beach excursions. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her father, two sons, Little Brent Stanford and Noel Thomas Nichols Jr., and her brother, Patrick Redwine, preceded Prisscilla in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Brent Stanford; her mother, Eva Mae Redwine of Coffeeville; her daughters, Kathryn Fielder (Michael Moore) of Coffeeville, Danielle Walls (Rick) of Pontotoc, Britnee Hedges of Columbus and Elizabeth Turner of Coffeeville; two sons, Thomas Nichols (Audrey) of Coffeeville and David Cross (Patsy) of Philadelphia; three sisters, Norma Redwine Moss (Peter) of Coffeeville, Pam Redwine of Greenwood and Deborah Norman of Gore Springs; 15 grandchildren, Brooke, Breanna, Arthur, Logan, Hagan, Lincoln, James, Will, Barrett, Emma, Conner, John, Knox, Kandler and Bella and two great grandchildren, Malcolm and Evie.
James Hedges, Cotton Marter, Dereck Redwine, Daniel Robinson, Rick Walls and Kenneth Yawn served as pallbearers. David Cross and Mickey Ellis served as honorary pallbearers. Patrick Redwine, Brent Stanford Jr. and Scook Trice were also lovingly remembered, posthumously, as honorary pallbearers.
