A time of remembrance was observed from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Lott Dale, 67, of Grenada, who died on Wednesday, July 26, at her residence. Friends and family gathered and shared stories and remembered all of the good times that they shared with Cindy.
Cindy was born on Aug. 24, 1955, in Grenada, the daughter of the late Grover Hilton and the late Mary Ruth Corder Lott. She retired as a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service having enjoyed a career spanning more than 20 years. In addition to her time with the USPS, she also worked alongside her late husband, Glen, on their farm. Working in her flowers, antiquing, attending flea markets and making arts and crafts were among her many hobbies. She found her greatest joy in being a devoted grandmother and cherished every moment she got to spend with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Glen Dale, preceded Cindy in death.
Survivors include, her sons, Josh Dale and Benji Dale (Angela), all of Grenada, and Jonathan Dale (Melody) of Starkville; sister, Wanda James of Grenada; nine grandchildren, Owen Dale, Riley Dale, Grayson Dale, Eli Dale, Will Dale, Lincoln Dale, Wesley Dale, Chris Griffin and Abby Griffin and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
