Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Southside Baptist Church in Winona for Mr. Charles Edmond Lowery, 84, of Vaiden, who died on Wednesday, July 19, at his residence surrounded by his family. Burial followed in Midway Cemetery in Vaiden. The Rev. Billy Little and the Rev. George Mims officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service time on Friday, July 21, at the church.
Mr. Lowery was born on May 27, 1939, the son of the late Clyde Edmond and the late Annie Ramage Lowery. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Winona and a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include, his wife, Maxine Cook Lowery of Vaiden; daughter, Wanda Lowery Blaylock (David) of Winona; son, Charles Edmond Lowery Jr. of Vaiden; sisters, Shelby Nobles and Margaret Brumley, both of Tishomingo; brother, Clarence Lowery (Tho) of Tishomingo; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
