A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Bret Alan Jenkins, 53, of Grenada, who died on Friday, April 22. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service on Friday, May 6, at McKibben and Guinn.
Bret was a resident of Grenada for 43 years and he loved the many friendships that he developed over his years living in Mississippi. You might say Bret knew a lot of people and a lot of people knew Bret as well. He was a kind person, always willing to assist a friend.
In Bret’s early years, he enjoyed spending time at the lake and especially enjoyed many different types of water sports. He was an avid outdoorsman and he was fortunate enough to live in a place that offered him endless amounts of opportunity to spend time outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish and was really good at both. Like many in Grenada, he also loved swapping stories about who shot the bigger deer, more ducks or who caught more fish.
His mother, Lillian, preceded Brett in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Katie Jenkins; parents, Robert and Betsy Jenkins; brothers, Dale (Sue) Jenkins and Lee (Julie) Jenkins; nieces and nephews, Alexandra and Grey Jenkins and Casady (Davey) and McKenna Jenkins.
We will miss Bret’s big laugh, his kind heart and spending time together as a family.
