Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Billie Foster Robinson, 89, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, April 28, at her residence. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Jimmy Hood officiated. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, May 1, at McKibben and Guinn.
Billie was born on May 1, 1934, in Bruce, the daughter of the late Luke and the late Lona Caples Foster. She worked for more than 40 years at Pennaco Hosiery in Grenada. She also enjoyed keeping a meticulous yard and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, her husband, James W. “Sonny Man” Robinson; son, James Randy Robinson; daughter-in-law, Tammy Robinson; sisters, Lura Carpenter and Faye Lott, and four brothers, Lloyd Foster, Carl Ray Foster, Fred Foster and Jimmy D. Foster, preceded Billie in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Pam Robinson of Grenada; one brother, Aaron Foster (Linda) of Grenada; four grandchildren, Zane Ford, Jamie Robinson, Nelia Brooks and Zachary Avery; six great grandchildren, Mason Ford, Lucy Avery, Ethan Avery, Starr Boyles, Harlee Brooks and Jesse Brooks; one great-great grandchild, Skylar Boyles, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Robinson was carried to rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers including, Scottie Aull, Mike Lott, Justin Rodgers, Dakota Rushing, Donnie Stroup and Scott Stroup.
