ABANDONMENT OF COUNTY ROAD C.J. DRIVE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
After discussion Amos Jeffrey Johnson made a motion to find that a portion of C.J. Drive described as:
Commencing at the intersection of C.J. Drive and Columbus Hankins Circle, then north on C.J. Road a distance of 211 feet to a point which is the end of the portion of the proposed abandonment. is not a primary access to occupied properties and is not necessary for the public travel and should be abandoned in accordance with Section 65-7-121 (a) and (d) and to publish notice of the intent to abandon a portion of C.J. Drive in the Grenada Star on May 21, 2025, and May 28, 2025, for a public hearing on the issue to be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 16, 2025, in the Board of Supervisor’s room at the Grenada County Courthouse. Should the road be abandoned, Supervisor Johnson shall post a sign at the point of beginning of the abandoned roadway as required by statute and a record of the abandonment shall be posted in the official record of the county streets and roads. The motion was seconded by Chad Gray and a vote called as follows:
