Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Charleston for Neva Dean Rippee Reece, 87, who died on Friday, May 12, in Memphis, Tenn. Burial followed in Magnolia Gardens in Paynes. Bro. Joe May and the Rev. John Price officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time on Monday, May 15, at the church.
Neva Dean was born on March 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Lina Mae Rippee and the late Theo Franklin Rippee. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Charleston.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Earnest Ray Reece, preceded Neva Dean in death.
Survivors include, her sons, Ernie Ray Reece Jr. (Toni) of Aberdeen and Ricky Lloyd Reece (Maggie) of Saucier; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
