A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Nellie Elouise Parker, 94, of Tillatoba, who died on Tuesday, Aug. 5, in Grenada. The Rev. Rickey Harris officiated. Family and friends gathered one hour prior to the service on Saturday, Aug. 9, at McKibben and Guinn.
Elouise was born on Dec. 20, 1930, in Doddsville, the daughter of the late Alonzo and the late Elzada Cook Williams. On Aug. 26, 1950, she married Herman Parker in Cleveland. She was employed at Baxter Laboratories in Cleveland until her retirement. Elouise found great joy in raising her children and grandchildren and, above all, she deeply loved the Lord. She was a devoted member of Tillatoba Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Herman; one son, Barry Parker; two brothers, Leon Williams and Dennis Williams, and one sister, Wilodene Burrell, preceded Elouise in death.
Survivors include, two sons, Kenny Parker of Tillatoba and Mike Parker (Jackie) of Pearl; daughter-in-law, Diane Parker Maples (John) of Pleasant Plains, Ark.; four beloved grandchildren, Michelle Parker Williams (Phil), Kimberly Parker Scutch (Mark), Amy Parker Wood (Cameron) and Michael Parker (Rebecca), and eight great grandchildren, Nathan Williams, Carson Williams, Cameron Morris, Madison Morris, Sophie Scutch, Ainsley Scutch, Mary Peyton and Skylar Parker. She is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the administration and staff of Providence Assisted Living in Grenada for the excellent care and compassion shown to their mother.
