NATIONAL SUMMARY
Along the East coast, a large storm will bring snow, ice and
thunderstorms tomorrow. In the Northeast and Ohio Valley,
snow and ice can lead to slippery travel. Strong winds
combined with ice and snow and ice on trees can lead to
power outages. From New York City south through the Florida
Panhandle, rain and thunderstorms will drench the area.
Thunderstorms in the Southeast can be severe and bring flash
flooding and damaging wind gusts. In the Northwest, a storm
will bring rain and mountain snow. Meanwhile, a gusty breeze
will usher a very cold air mass into the Plains. High
temperatures will be 15 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit below the
historical average for mid-February. In California and the
interior Southwest, it will be dry and at least partly sunny
and turning warmer with above-average temperatures.
