NATIONAL SUMMARY
A windy day is in store across the Northeast tomorrow. There
will be some snow across New England from the departing
winter storm that will taper off tomorrow morning;
otherwise, it will be mainly dry with the exception of
lake-effect snow showers downwind of the Great Lakes. Very
cold conditions are expected across the Northwest and
northern Plains, where high temperatures may only reach the
single digits in some spots. There will also be snow showers
across the northern Rockies and a mix of snow and rain along
the Washington coast. Showers in eastern Texas will extend
eastward into the Carolinas. In the lower Mississippi
Valley, there can be a couple rumbles of thunder as well.
Elsewhere, warm conditions are expected along the Gulf
coast.
