The memory of a Grenada teenager who suffered a premature death continues to live on.
Each year the Mississippi Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership has a drive for Ronald McDonald House in Jackson. Families are able to stay in this “home away from home.” This gives the comfort of home while caring for their sick child.
This year, Grenada County Farm Bureau is dedicating its drive in memory of Will Hartley. He was born at 31 weeks. Karen and Garrett Hartley were blessed to be able to stay at RMH for almost a month. Sadly, Will’s life was cut short last March. Please help honor Will’s legacy by donating.
According to RMHC Mississippi, for the health and safety of families, the organization cannot accept used items or stuffed animals. The Top 3 items needed include:
• Sugar (5 lb. bags or packets)
• Swiffer Products
• Powdered Coffee Creamer
Other items on RMHC’s Wish List include, disposable To-Go boxes (three sections); paper towels; disposable desert boxes and soup containers; gallon-size storage bags (Ziploc or slider); Swiffer WetJet solution and refill pads; Swiffer Sweeper refill pads; liquid laundry detergent; individually packaged breakfast food items (Pop-Tarts); “fun” size candy; discount store gift cards, home improvement store gift cards; bed pillows (standard size); 33-gallon size trash bags; hanging file folders (both letter and legal size); Office Depot gift cards; postage stamps, and 11” x 13” envelopes.
