Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, in Grenada Memorial Gardens for Margaret Mixon, 84, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, March 13, at her residence.
Margaret was born on Sept. 22, 1940, in Louisville, the daughter of the late Robert Brown and the late Gladys Brown. She graduated from the Mississippi College for Women with an associate’s degree in business. She was employed by the Mississippi Vocational Rehabilitation Services as a secretary until her retirement. Margaret was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Loren Mixon, and her sister, Patsy Griffin, preceded Margaret in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Robin Jones Blackley of Grenada; granddaughter, Kimberly Parker of Atlanta, Ga., and stepdaughter, Ann Collins of Grenada.
