The Kirk Raiderettes honored its five seniors prior to last Thursday’s home contest with Rossville (Tenn.) Academy at Raiderette Field. They culminated the night with a 9-0 win over the Lady Wolves for their second win of the season.
Sydney Allbritton had a big night at the plate with two hits, including a triple. The senior finished the night with 3 RBI.
Grace Defenbaugh also finished with two hits, along with Taylor Kate Hall, who scored a run.
Camryn Allbritton also had a triple and scored a pair of runs. Sophie Brister had a hit, scored a run and drove home a run. Abbie Mattox scored two runs after drawing three walks on the night.
Sydney Allbritton was the winning pitcher going five innings, allowing one hit. She struck out eight batters along the way.
North Delta
Kirk ran into a hitting machine in the Lady Green Wave, which finished the contest with 17 hits. North Delta scored in all but two innings in a contest played on Sept. 7.
Sydney Allbritton led the Raiderettes with two hits. Mattox, Camryn Allbritton and Horan all had a single. Brister had a hit and scored two runs. Defenbaugh had a triple.
Sydney Allbritton picked up the loss for Kirk. She walked three and struck out one.
Kirk returned to action Monday traveling to West Point to play Oak Hill. The regular season closed Tuesday at home against Marshall. Results were available by press time.
