Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, in Oakwood Cemetery for Mrs. Elsie Elizabeth Eskridge King Barnhill, 93, of Winona, who died on Thursday, Oct. 3, in Winona. The Rev. Randy Bridges officiated. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnhill was born on Feb. 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Thomas Everett and the late Pauline Taggart Eskridge. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church and a former member of Winona Eastern Star Chapter.
In addition to her parents, her husbands, Elvin Dennis King and James Bernard Barnhill, and her brothers, Don Eskridge and Lamar Eskridge, preceded Mrs. Barnhill in death.
Survivors include, her three daughters, Linda Bozone (David) of Brandon, Pam Robertson (Bill) of Winona and Jan Gillis of Grenada; son, Steven Bernard Barnhill of Winona; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces of nephews.
