Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada for Linda Moore Avery, 74, of Batesville, formerly of Grenada, who died on Saturday, March 29, at her residence. Burial followed in Philadelphia Cemetery in Webster County. Visitation was held from noon until service time on Tuesday, April 1, at Mortimer National Funeral Home.
Linda was born on April 17, 1950, in Webster County, the daughter of the late Roy Moore and the late Thelma Jones Moore. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Ricky Avery; one son, Archie Avery; her sister, Wanda Miller, and her brothers, Wayne Moore and Larry Moore, preceded Linda in death.
Survivors include, one son, Richard A. Avery Jr. of Batesville; two granddaughters, Christina Lynn Avery Woods (Chance) of Grenada and Amanda Lynn Avery Bailey (Jordon) of Batesville; one grandson, Matthew Dylan Avery of Batesville, and four great grandchildren.
The family asked those who attended the service to wear purple, which was Linda’s favorite color.
Mortimer National Funeral Home in Grenada was in charge of the arrangements.
