ORDER DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY GRENADA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Grenada County, Mississippi, determines it necessary and to promote the best interests of the people of Grenada County to purchase One (1) Motor Grader for use by said County in its general county maintenance and operations:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of Grenada County, Mississippi, that the Clerk of said Board forthwith cause to be published in the way and manner and for the time provided by law the following notice, to wit:
“PUBLIC NOTICE TO NEW EQUIPMENT DEALERS”
The Grenada County Board of Supervisors will receive and open bids for
One (1) New Motor Grader, at 10:00 A.M. Monday September 16, 2024 in the Board Room in the
Grenada County Courthouse 59 Green Street Suite # 1 Grenada MS 38901.

Trade – In (Optional, at discretion of County, please bid with and without trade-in)
The county will be trading in One (1) Caterpillar 135H Motor Grader Serial Number 3YK00099.
*Bidders shall have a parts and service facility within 100 miles of Grenada County.
*Awards will be made based on the best value offered.
*Price, demonstrated resale value, parts and service availability, conformity with specifications, and warranty shall be taken into consideration.
*The conditions and specifications listed are not intended to prohibit qualified vendors from submitting a bid.
*The bidder shall list on a separate sheet of paper any variations from or exceptions to the conditions and specifications of this bid.
*This sheet shall be labeled “Exception(s) To Bid Conditions and
Specifications”.
*The bidder will be responsible to establishing equality.
*Bidders must specify cash price, delivery date and warranty.
*The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
*The envelope should be marked “Sealed Bid One (1) New Motor Grader ” and contain all required bid information.
*The Board reserves the right to determine which the lowest and best bid is and to accept or reject any or all bids and any proposed alternative to any required minimum bid specification.
*It is not the intent that these specifications limit the bidding to any make or manufacturer but rather to select such equipment to fulfill a specific task.
*Any item which is proposed as an “equal” or “or equal” item must be specifically so designated in the bid.
* Bids may be withdrawn upon written notice received from the bidder prior to the time and date designated for the opening.
* Bidder shall comply with all applicable bidding requirement of the Mississippi code of 1972, as amended.
* The Board of Supervisors of Grenada County, Mississippi, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities.
*Bids must be signed.
