Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church for Mrs. Juanita Faye Martin Warren, 83, of Coffeeville, who peacefully transitioned on Wednesday, March 26, in Batesville, surrounded by her loving family. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Rev. Billy Hill officiated. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday, March 30, at the church.
Born on Jan. 18, 1942, in Coffeeville, the daughter of the late Howard Allen and the late Mary Claudia Youngblood Martin, Juanita dedicated more than 40 years to her passion as a barber and beautician in the community. A devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church, she served with unwavering commitment as the music director and cemetery director. In her cherished moments, she found joy in sewing, quilting and singing, leaving a legacy of creativity and love. Juanita will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Jim Warren, and one daughter, Miranda Jamil Warren, preceded Juanita in death.
Survivors include, three daughters, Debra R. Warren, Kim Warren Bell (Keith) and Joyce L. Warren, all of Coffeeville; one son, James Elmore “Jay” Warren Jr. of Grenada; eight grandchildren, Justin Brown, David Brown, Daniel Bell, Amy Schroeder, Bobby Bell, Brandie Johnsey, Deadra Wilburn and Mia Claire Warren; 18 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Justin Brown, Dustin Brown, David Brown, Matthew Bardo, Skyler Laird and Robert Earl Upchurch honored Mrs. Warren by serving as pallbearers and carried her to rest in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Jim Bennett, Homer Melton, Francis Williams and Eddie Strauser served as honorary pallbearers.
