A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Jean Hill Parker, 74, of Holcomb, who died on Friday, May 16, in Grenada. The Rev. Kevin Tribble officiated.
Jean was born on June 11, 1950, in Grenada, the daughter of the late W.T. and the late Frances Manley Hill. She had worked in management in the restaurant business. She took pride in saying she had raised half of Holcomb and always made her home a welcoming place for those who had a need.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Harris Parker; son-in-law, Kenneth Vance, and one sister, Debra Hardin, preceded Jean in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Amy Vance of Olive Branch; son, Chuck Parker (Miranda) of Holcomb; niece that she loved like a daughter, Kristy Hardin-Peῆa of Holcomb; two sisters, Lynda McCalop of Holcomb and Carol Holland of Tillatoba; her brother, Billy Hill of Duck Hill; seven grandchildren, Kalee, Allie, Summer, Katelyn, Presley, Journee and Evan; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
