Four additional ballot boxes have arrived at the Grenada County Courthouse with the most significant change being the vote for the new state flag design with support increasing nearly three to one.
With 53.8 percent of the boxes counted, 3,264 votes were cast in favor of the new flag design, while 1,129 votes were cast against it for a 74.3 percent approval vote.
In addition to the first three boxes – City Auditorium, EOC/Van Dorn and Geeslin Corner – the Pleasant Grove, Holcomb, Taylor Hall and Young’s Landing boxes have been counted. Grenada County’s vote for President remains tight, while the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives races have flipped from Republican to Democrat support.

Enough votes have been counted statewide for the Associated Press to call Mississippi for President Donald Trump.
