The stage is set for the inaugural Grenada Day Celebration scheduled this Labor Day weekend.
The festivities, sponsored by the City of Grenada and supported by the Grenada Tourism Commission, will begin this Friday night with a Meet and Greet scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Lewis Johnson Senior Citizen Complex located at 299 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Live entertainment will be provided by DJ Blu and food will be available for purchase from Delta Bean Café. Admission is free.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Grenada Municipal Airport located at 950 L.D. Boone Rd. as free Grenada Day festivities continue. Events include a bike and car show, bike and sound competition and free children’s activities. Cash prizes will be awarded.
Entertainment begins at 4 p.m. with Chelsey Barnes taking the stage. Ben Shaw will follow at 5:15 p.m. with Fade 2 Blue beginning at 6:30 p.m. At 7:45 p.m., Sweet Angel will entertain the crowd followed by O.B. Buchana at 9 p.m. and Big Robb at 10:15 p.m.
