Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley for David “Mac” McNamee, 56, of Water Valley, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, Feb. 27. The Rev. Eugene Heimbach will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Thursday, March 6, at the funeral home.
David was born on July 5, 1968, in Water Valley, the son of the late John E. and the late Margaret F. McNamee. He was known as a gentle giant. He dedicated his work life to being a brazier at Luvata. His kindness, generosity and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, his oldest brother, John E. McNamee, preceded David in death.
Survivors include, his sister, Barbara Clements (Jackie) of Tontitown, Ark.; one brother, Paul McNamee (Kelly) of Gore Springs; his sister-in-law, Beverly McNamee of Germantown, Tenn., and a host of nieces and nephews, Brian Clements (Abbie) of Danberry, Conn., Kimberly Allbright (Mark) from Maumelle, Ark., Jennifer Stephenson (Mike) from Springdale, Ark., and Colleen McNamee, Kayla Wilkey (Charlie) and Mary-Catelin McNamee, all of Gore Springs. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Benji Massie, also known as “Mack,” of Water Valley as well as many other cherished relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Joel Rogers, Dalton Rogers, Eddie Rogers, Brad Holliday, Joey Ward Jr., Joey Ward III, Justin Ward and Charlie Wilkey. Honorary pallbearers will be Benji Massie and Tommy Woods.
David will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness and strength will live on in the hearts of those that he left behind.
