Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024, in the chapel of Mortimer National Funeral Home in Grenada for Clyde G. “Clyde Lee” Thomas, 93, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, April 11, in Grenada. Burial followed in Grenada Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday, April 15, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born on Jan. 14, 1931, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late David Alvin Green and the late Mary Gooden Green. She was employed by Pennaco Hosiery Mill until her retirement. She was a member of Elliott Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, James K. Thomas; three sisters, Mattie Tucker, Erma Dean Tindall and Dessie Jefcoat and seven brothers, James A. Green, Edmond G. Green, David C. Green, Willis Green, Jack Green, Wilburn Green and David A. Green, preceded Mrs. Thomas in death.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Elliott Baptist Church.
