In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a visitation to honor Mr. Bobby Hugh “Bob” Denley, 85, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, April 25, 2021, in Grenada was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada. The Rev. Howard Beam, pastor of Hebron Baptist Church where Bob was a member, offered the eulogy at the conclusion of visitation.
Bob retired from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and from his convenience store, A&P Quick Stop. He was a Little League Baseball coach in years past, an avid bird and coon hunter, a fan of Kirk basketball, the Atlanta Braves and Ole Miss football and a United States Army Veteran.
His parents, George and Sybil Thompson and Wilford and Sue Denley, preceded Bob in death.
Survivors include, his wife of 65 years, Charlene; daughter, Kim Hill (Woody); sons, Greg Denley (Amy) and Derek Denley; nine grandchildren, Lauren, Garrett, Devin, Dani, Jesse, Damien, Gunner, Carley and Sam and eight great grandchildren, Beau, Devan, Madi, Wyatt, Payton, Kemp, Lawson and Chayenne.
