Andrew was born on Jan. 9, 1986, in Grenada, the son of Billy Wayne and Gaylan King Ryals. He graduated from Kirk Academy in 2004, and was the salutatorian of his class. He later earned a degree in biology from the University of Mississippi and ultimately achieved his goal of becoming a physical therapist, earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Andrew immersed himself in his work and took great pride in caring for his patients. In his spare time, he enjoyed kayaking, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Of all the titles he held, “uncle” was his favorite as he was overjoyed every time he got to spoil his nephew, Brent.
His grandparents, Lee A. King, Bobby Ryals and Ned and Tina Blaylock, preceded Andrew in death.
Survivors include, his parents, Billy and Gaylan Ryals of Winona; twin brother, Lance Ryals (Becky) of Laurel; grandmother, Betty King of Grenada; nephews, Brent Ryals and Kaden Valentine; niece, Landree Valentine; his faithful dog, Scout, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Aric King, Frank King, Richard King, Lance Ryals, Ashley Sutherland and Joe Sutherland will honor Andrew by serving as pallbearers and will carry him to rest in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Brent Ryals will honor his uncle by serving as an honorary pallbearer.
